Tennessee volleyball will return to Nashville for the Broadway Block Party, facing the Indiana Hoosiers at Bridgestone Arena on September 6, 2026. The event features four programs from major conferences, including Louisville and Texas, who will compete in the opening match of the day.

“We are really excited to play in this event for the second year in a row,” said head coach Eve Rackham Watt. “It is a wonderful chance for our players and our sport to showcase at the highest level. Any time we have an opportunity to play in our home state on this stage, in front of Tennessee fans, is incredibly special.”

The Lady Vols’ match against Indiana will be broadcast nationally on ESPN2 at 3 p.m. ET, following the noon game between Louisville and Texas. Members of the Nashville Sports Council and previous ticket holders will have early access to tickets from March 4-5. Those interested can join the council through its website at NashvilleSports.com/Membership. General public ticket sales begin March 6 via the Nashville Sports Council’s event website.

This is Tennessee’s second straight year participating in the annual event; last season they faced Purdue.

Tennessee and Indiana last played nearly sixteen years ago during the NCAA Tournament’s second round on December 4, 2010, with Indiana winning a close five-set match. The teams have met seven times before, with Tennessee leading the series 4-3.

For the upcoming season, Tennessee returns key players such as three-time All-American setter Caroline Kerr. Kerr helped lead an offense ranked among the nation’s top fifteen for hitting percentage (.292) and kills per set (14.97), making it two out of three recent seasons that Tennessee has finished so highly in both categories. She ranks sixth all-time in program history for career assists (3,259) and assists per set (10.65).

Also returning are middle blocker Chelsea Sutton—who led last season with 116 blocks and was second in team kills—and outside hitter Mackenzie Plante, who achieved personal bests across all major statistics during her junior year.

Four transfers join Tennessee this season: Jalyn Stout from Coastal Carolina brings an NCAA record of 46 career triple-doubles; Kennedi Rogers comes off an ACC All-Freshman campaign at SMU; Nia Hall adds SEC experience after leading South Carolina in kills last season; Marta Lazzarin arrives from Georgia State after being named Sun Belt Libero of the Year.

Five freshmen also joined during spring training: middle blockers Jolene Oddo, Camille Perry, Anni Tang; opposite hitter Jade Williams; and outside hitter Morgan Williams.
