Census Bureau: More women than men in Knoxville in 2019

Of the 186,173 people living in Knoxville in 2019, 52.1 percent (96,996) were women and 47.9 percent (89,177) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Knox Times.

Females 18 and over outnumbered males in the same age group by a ratio of 64,176-to-61,766. In the 65 and over age range, there were 15,329 females and 9,976 males.
