The second game between Tennessee and Oklahoma at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark was suspended on May 15 due to inclement weather, with one out in the bottom of the seventh inning and Tennessee leading 5-3.

The suspension affects both teams as they compete in a closely contested series. The outcome could influence Tennessee’s chances of securing its fifth Southeastern Conference series win this season.

According to the announcement, play will resume at 1 p.m. local time (2 p.m. Eastern Time) on Saturday. The third game of the series is scheduled to begin about 45 minutes after the conclusion of the resumed game and will be played as a full nine-inning contest.

Both games are set to be streamed on SEC Network+ and through the ESPN app, providing fans with opportunities to follow along remotely. Updates regarding University of Tennessee baseball can also be found on their official social media accounts (@Vol_Baseball) across X, Facebook, and Instagram.

The rescheduling underscores how weather conditions can disrupt athletic events and require flexibility from players, coaches, and fans.
