Tennessee will face No. 22/25 Ole Miss in a three-game baseball series starting April 17 at Lindsey Nelson Stadium in Knoxville. The Vols, currently on a five-game winning streak, are coming off their first Southeastern Conference (SEC) series sweep under head coach Josh Elander after defeating Mississippi State last weekend.

This matchup is significant as both teams enter the series following recent sweeps; Tennessee defeated No. 8/9 Mississippi State on the road, while Ole Miss swept LSU at home. The Vols have also won four consecutive series against Ole Miss dating back to 2019, including two in Knoxville and two in Oxford.

The games are scheduled for Friday at 6:30 p.m., Saturday at 6 p.m., and Sunday at 1 p.m., all broadcast on SEC Network+. Fans can also listen to coverage on the Vol Network and related apps. Saturday’s game will feature the program’s second-ever “Checker Lindsey Nelson Stadium” event, encouraging fans to wear orange or white according to their seating section.

Lindsey Nelson Stadium has recently undergone more than $100 million in renovations, increasing its capacity to over 8,000 and adding new amenities such as premium seating areas, updated concessions, additional restrooms, and enhanced lighting. These improvements aim to enhance the experience for both players and spectators throughout the season.

Key players highlighted include Cam Appenzeller, who was named SEC Freshman of the Week after a strong relief performance against Mississippi State, and Garrett Wright, who has contributed significantly since returning from injury with consistent hitting statistics over recent games.

Looking ahead, Tennessee continues its homestand next week with a game against Lipscomb before another SEC matchup versus Alabama.
