Rep. Tim Burchett, who represents Tennessee’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, shared several updates on his social media account on September 16, 2025, highlighting recent community engagement and legislative support.

In a post made at 12:49 p.m., Burchett wrote, “Truth hurts https://t.co/AYdzGI1B4k”.

Later that day, at 5:18 p.m., he reflected on a recent local event by stating, “Enjoyed joining the NAIFA Legislative Luncheon last week to share remarks and visit with folks in Knoxville. I appreciated the opportunity to be part of the conversation and connect with our community. https://t.co/NWXKFehaHk”.

At 9:08 p.m., Burchett expressed gratitude to a fellow lawmaker for legislative efforts, posting, “Thank you @RepDonaldsPress for your work on this important bill. https://t.co/XDt0KHCVAv”.

Burchett has represented Tennessee’s 2nd District in Congress since 2019 after succeeding Jimmy Duncan. Before his tenure in Congress, he served in both chambers of the Tennessee legislature from 1995 through 2010. Born in Knoxville in 1964 and currently residing there, Burchett is an alumnus of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
