The University of Tennessee announced on Apr. 15 that 35 student-athletes have been named to the 2025-26 Winter Southeastern Conference (SEC) Academic Honor Roll, according to league commissioner Greg Sankey.
This recognition highlights academic achievement among student-athletes in sports including basketball and swimming and diving. Women’s swimming and diving led the university with 14 honorees, followed by men’s swimming and diving with 10. Men’s basketball had seven students named, while women’s basketball had four representatives on the list.
A total of 769 student-athletes from across the conference were selected for this honor roll for winter sports, which includes basketball, equestrian, gymnastics, and swimming and diving. The selection is based on grades earned during the Spring, Summer, and Fall terms of the previous year.
Eligibility criteria require a grade point average of at least 3.00 either for the preceding academic year or cumulatively at their institution. Additional requirements include completion of a minimum number of credit hours toward a degree and full participation in their sport’s NCAA Championship segment.
The University released a complete list naming each honored athlete along with their field of study across all qualifying sports.
