71 percent of applicants to Johnson University were admitted for fall 2018

At Johnson University, 84 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 56 percent are male, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Knoxville enrolled 1,088 students in fall 2018, including 753 in undergraduate and 335 in graduate programs, data shows. 5.7 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

40 percent of undergraduates are residents of Tennessee, and 52 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (84 percent) and Black or African American (3 percent).

The school admitted 71 percent of the 348 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 65 percent enrolled.
