“I’m a UTK student who is getting one degree in political science and one degree in biology, and I decided to take summer classes at Pellissippi State because it is very affordable, and I don’t want to be a college student forever. The first thing I noticed when I got here was that the building is very nice! My chemistry class is also really well organized. To my fellow summer school students, I say the credits will be worth it, just stay calm. You can still have fun over the summer, and frankly, I do better with a set schedule. There’s always weekends; I was able to go to the pool this weekend and I hung out with my roommates.
Summer school is all about planning and being proactive; all the people who were at the lake all day when they get to the fall semester are like, ‘Oh man, I wish I had gotten chemistry out of the way!’ But they didn’t, and I was at the lake part-time, and I STILL got chemistry done, so that’s how I look at it!” -Ella
