For the first time in her career, sophomore Bailey Davis has been named SEC Co-Golfer of the Week, the conference office announced Wednesday.
The White Plains, Maryland, native tied for second place at the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate Championship last week, recording the second top-10 finish of her Tennessee career. Davis notched a 54-hole score of 203 (-10), the second lowest in tournament history.
During the second round, Davis birdied eight holes to card a bogey-free 63, posting the lowest single-round score in tournament history and tied for the second lowest in Lady Vol history.
The sophomore is the first Tennessee women's golfer to win SEC Golfer of the Week since LVFL Micheala Williams-Luck in April 2019.
Davis and the Lady Vols are back in action at the Illini Women's Invitational in Medinah, Illinois, running Oct. 10-11.
