Tennessee freshman Caroline Patterson led the Lady Vols through the first two rounds at Medinah Country Club, shooting a 36-hole score of 137 (-7).
The Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, native started the day strong, logging three consecutive birdies on the back nine to log a first-round score of 70 (-2). During the second round, Patterson posted eight birdies to card a 67, the lowest round of her young collegiate career. The freshman is tied for seventh place ahead of Tuesday's final round.
Kayla Holden made four birdies on the back nine to finish the first round at +1. The junior picked up momentum in round two, shooting -3 to end the day tied for 29th place at -2 overall.
Junior Vanessa Gilly carded a 73 in the first round and shot -1 in the second round. Freshman Manassanan Chotikabhukkana shot -1 in the first round and logged a 73 during the second round. The duo is tied for 40th at even par.
Carolina Caminoli, a fifth year competing as an individual, carded a 74 and 71 during Monday's opening rounds. Sophomore Bailey Davis held steady to shoot even par in round one and posted a 73 in the second round. The pair is tied for 51st place ahead of the third round.
Overall, the Lady Vols ended the day tied for ninth place at -10 (566).
