U.S. Congressman Tim Burchett of Tennessee's 2nd District has announced his support for H.Con.Res.14, a budget resolution that sets the congressional budget for fiscal year 2025 and outlines budgetary levels through 2034. The resolution aims to establish over a trillion dollars in mandatory savings over the next decade while providing a pathway to economic growth exceeding two and a half trillion dollars.

In his statement, Rep. Burchett emphasized the importance of fiscal responsibility, stating, “Everyone knows how I feel about our fiscal responsibility. This bill is where we start to right some of our wrongs." He highlighted key priorities such as securing the border, reducing debt and inflation, cutting spending, and leading with fiscal responsibility.

Rep. Burchett also mentioned discussions with President Trump regarding these priorities: "President Trump and I spoke about our priorities which include securing our border, reducing the debt and inflation, cutting our spending, and leading with fiscal responsibility. He's asked us to give him a starting point and I thought this was it."

The budget resolution serves as an initial step towards addressing these issues while aiming for significant economic growth.
