Meet Randy Williams, a City Engineering Department Inspector who went the extra mile to finesse the tie-ins to residents' walk-ups and driveways when the new Coker Avenue sidewalk was being built.
Tweaking a project design and inspecting the construction can be exacting and sometimes tedious work.
But, Williams said, "there was a purpose and a need" - giving Belle Morris Elementary schoolchildren a safer route to get to and from school. Plus, he wanted the sidewalk to best serve the homeowners on Coker.
This is National Public Works Week, and City employees like Randy care about serving their community!
