In coordination with the DEA’s national prescription drug take back initiative, the KPD and Metro Drug Coalition will host a medication take back event at the Food City at 4805 N. Broadway on Saturday, April 15. The free event will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. If you have unused, unwanted, or expired household medications, this event provides safe and environmentally responsible means to properly dispose of those medications.
Medication take back events are held annually in an effort to prevent drug misuse and addiction as well as overdose deaths. To learn more about the DEA's drug takeback initiative, click here: https://www.dea.gov/takebackday
